"William Bartram - An Unlikely Explorer"

The Art Guild at Fairfield Glade will be presenting any evening with Bill Landry, host/narrator and co-producer of the Heartland Series.  This program is the winner of numerous awards including five Emmy Awards and three Iris Awards, among others.  Since it began in 1984 over 1800 short features were produced including 150 half-hour specials.

Mr. Landry will present a video/lecture on the subject of the first episode of the Heartland Series, "William Bartram - An Unlikely Explorer."  The location of this event is the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center on Stonehenge Drive.  The date is March 24 at 6:00 p.m. and the tickets can be obtained for $12.00 per person from the Art Guild at the Plateau Creative Arts Center, 451 Lakeview Drive, Fairfield Glade, TN.  Or you can call 931-707-7249.

Mr. Landry is deeply rooted in the Appalachian region and assists with many organizations.  He serves on the boards of "Fish Hospitality Pantries" and the Clarence Brown Theater.  He also, is on the board and very active with the Princess Theater renovation  project,

where he co-produced a multi-media production "Appalachian Dreams" this past spring.

Currently, Bill is working as a "spokesman" while writing, producing, and helping the Princess Theater Foundation and Roane State Community College refurbish the 900 seat Princess Theater and to set up a television station, and develop an arts/education complex in Harriman, Tennessee, where he will portray Atticus Finch in "To Kill A Mockingbird" in the spring.
