Congratulations to
Emily Miles, a recent graduate of Stone Memorial High
School, who qualified for the annual Scholarship awarded by The Art
Guild at Fairfield Glade. Scholarships are awarded on various
criteria usually reflecting the values and purposes of the donor.
This year's scholarship was awarded in the amount of $1,500.00.
Emily plans to major
in fashion design and fiber arts for a Bachelor os Science Degree at
Middle Tennessee State University. To quote Emily, "I have
discovered my love for fashion design, knitting, and fiber arts, and I
have explored and developed these talents until I am deeply proud of
both. Today, it is my ambition to own my own boutique designing
and selling my designs for clothing and handspun yarns. I also
want to offer classes so that I can share my love for craft and visual
art with others."
