Acrylic Basics Classes
The purpose of this class is to become acquainted with the fundamentals of the acrylic medium. Students will learn the advantages and limitations of acrylics and will be introduced to the materials, equipment, and application techniques that make the medium most responsive to the artists creative imagination.
The content of the class includes use of brushes, pallet knives, and paraphernalia for achieving various textural effects. Students will experience demonstrations, content presentations, and critique periods. Practice sessions include drawing techniques, recognition of essential elements of composition, and traditional painting techniques. Throughout class sessions, students will be informed of pallet management, color harmony, and mixing techniques.
Assorted photo-references will be provided for individual student selection of objects to include in the design of their final painting. Angel works one on one with each student and gives practical advice on how to enhance their art work and technical skills. Instruction session outlines will also be provided to each student.
Acrylic students of any technical skill level, including beginners, will benefit from Angel's one on one guidance. The class is geared for beginners through advanced level participants, anyone who is open to learning and applying the concepts of art expression, traditional principles, and techniques.
