by Nancy Kipperman
Ninabelle Hardison is the featured artist for the month of January. Her artwork will be high-lighted at the Fun and Wine Friday reception on Friday, January 6, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Plateau Creative Art Center (PCAC), 451 Lakeview Drive, in Fairfield Glade. The public is in-vited to attend this free event where people can meet and talk to the artist and enjoy soft drinks or wine and hors d’oeuvres while appreciating the artwork by Nina and other artists. The PCAC’s regular winter hours are 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Nina, a previous resident of East Texas, began painting in the 1970s. After retiring from a 30-year career in communications in 2000, she revived her love of oil painting. Nina paints daily in her home studio and works to “bring to the canvas a new place traveled, a lovely face, an inter-esting character, a beautiful landscape or perhaps an abstract of fascinating shapes and colors.” Her goal is to stir your imagination.
Nina has exhibited with major art organizations in Texas and North Caroline and at the 23CPW Gallery in New York. Her most recent competitive award was won in the fall show of the Art Guild in Fairfield Glade. Nina has served on art boards for non-profit organizations in both TX and NC. Her love for art and sharing the importance of the culture is one of the most important goals in her life.
Nina lives in Fairfield Glade with her husband Glenn.
