Schatz is featured artist at PCAC for February
By Nancy Kipperman
Jessica Barbara Schatz, the featured artist for the month of February, will be honored at a Fun and Wine Friday Reception on Feb. 3 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Plateau Creative Arts Center (PCAC), 451 Lakeview Drive in Fairfield Glade. The public is invited to attend this free event where people can meet and talk with the artist and enjoy soft drinks or wine and hors d’oeuvres while appreciating the artwork by Jessica and other artists.
“I have been blessed to be able to pursue my passions in life,” says Jessica. She spent some years in visual merchandising in department stores and interior design and then moved into professional photography. “For many years, I did black-and-white hand-painted portrait photography in Wisconsin, but since moving to Fairfield Glade a few years ago, I have gone digital and now concentrate on fine art photography and pet photography.”
Her exhibit will include paintings as well as photographs. “Being the true Gemini that I am, I still manage to pursue interior design, and I also love paintings, whether it be oils, acrylics, watercolors or mixed media. This past year, I had a large garden and loved chronicling the fruits or vegetables or flowers of my labor.”
Jessica has been coming to Fairfield Glade for more than 30 years as her husband’s family resides here. They have been permanent residents for four years.
This art exhibit will be open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through February 28.
